Commercial Pilot License

After seven+ months of work, studying my ass off for my written, and a retest (after I went long on my first power-off 180), I’ve finally achieved a life long goal of becoming a Commercially-rated airplane pilot.

I’m not planning a career shift; that would have made more sense twenty years ago! But this continued training really forced me to further refine my skills to make me a safer pilot, so I can carry my wife, kids, and friends with confidence. My landings are WAY better than they were when I started on my Commercial.

If you’re interested in learning more about aviation of any sort, hit me up! And if you’ve ever gotten the itch to try it out, do it - just show up at a local airport, find the flight school with a “learn to fly here” sticker in the window, and ask to go on a discovery flight!

I’m grateful to my CFI, Thomas, for his patient instruction (he won a national Instructor of the Year award) at JATO Aviation, LLC in San Carlos, but most of all I’m grateful to my wife Rebecca Weekly, who had to endure my random evening study sessions, cross country planning, night flight hours-building, and more to support me chasing my dream.
