Hacker Dojo Executive Director
Folks; Hacker Dojo is looking for an Executive Director.
I helped start this South Bay non-profit hackerspace well over a decade ago; it’s been the birthplace of giants like Pinterest, Webflow, and Word Lens (now part of Google Translate) but just as importantly has been a place for thousands of people to learn about new technologies, start an open source project, mentor students, and more.
If you love technology, bringing people together, creating and growing diverse communities, directing and energizing a volunteer base around you…it would be fantastic for you to consider applying here.
Maybe you were impacted by the tech layoffs and are using the time to think about how you can contribute your knowledge and skills back to the community. Maybe you’ve retired but want to help the next generation get a leg up and share what you had to learn the hard way. Maybe you’re jazzed about helping economically challenged communities transition to technical careers and futures. We’d love to connect!
Hacker Dojo is a 501(c)(3) charity. We don’t pay nearly as well as the tech giants. It will involve a lot of hard work and fundraising and wrangling. But it will also place you at the center of an institution that makes Silicon Valley Silicon Valley. You’ll be our face to members, donors, guests, and the media.
