This quarter is definitely going well, even if things are starting to heat up a little bit. I wrote a patch to the Rio utilities for Linux to allow people to upload files from the Rio to the PC, probably the first. It wasn't the best, but it worked. I sent the patches in, made an RPM, and put the code on my code page. I sent updates to freshmeat and apparently Wired News noticed, as they did a writeup on uploading from the Rio, including my patch. Separately, my friend Nathan and I protested Microsoft at the Stanford Job Fair. The writeup was posted on all of the major Linux news sites, and was read by about 10,000 people. That was certainly fun, and I got a lot of mail about that. I wrote my second column for AudioExplosion on digital audio; it's called "The Invisible Orchestra." Check it out, tell me what you think. Work on Start2 has pretty much stalled, as I've been doing a bunch of other stuff. That's been difficult for me; I'd very much like to get it back on track... | ||
