Wow. Quite a bit has been going on. I seem to have developed a bit of a fan base with my webcam: I now have friends in PA, CA, and Brazil! =) It's quite a bit of fun.

Prima Publishing contacted me two days ago to write a book on Linux. I talked them into a book on MP3, so looks like Dave's going to become an author! =) Woo-hoo! Exciting! =) I'll let you know where and when my book will be in stores.

I've started to become involved with the Free Expression project to develop an OpenSource codec and streaming architecture to allow artists to freely and openly distribute their work. It's really some fascinating stuff.

This last weekend was hell, as I had to crunch through the greater part of a take-home midterm and three problem sets for Music 422. Aie! I had fallen behind because of my trip to the Netherlands, and I guess this was hardcore catch-up time...I hope the rest of my life involves more pleasure than solo hardcore coding 14+ hours a day. I missed farming. I didn't even get to see Vanessa. =/
