Hey, everyone! =) Sorry it's been a while since I last updated this
page, I think Christmas break had something to do with that. I went
back to New England, took care of my girlfriend when she got sick,
and then went to Tahoe, where she taught me how to snowboard as a
way of saying "thanks." It sure is painful learning, but when you
get it, it's beautiful. You're just dancing down the hill, swaying
your hips.
So I've started classes this quarter, looks like things are going to be good: automata, compilers, feminism, social dance, and probabilistic analysis. I have to wake up at 8am every morning, but I'm actually finding that to be positively refreshing. I'm going to be doing some more writings for Audio Explosion, so I'll probably put those up on my writings page. I think my life goal will be to create software and services for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. Open source seems like the best way to do it, so that's where I want to throw my efforts. I'm putting together a site called "The Open Work Initiative" at openwork.org. The idea is to connect projects with people for coding, documenation, etc. I'll just need a little time to put it all together. Yesterday, my machine went live as a Freshmeat mirror. I was psyched to give them a hand. | ||
