Well, I'm doing about 400% better than I was last time. =) I had an excellent Valentine's day with my best friend, and have been violently disavowing schoolwork. =) As promised last time, I'm putting up the poetry; you can find it here, but possibly in crude form until I clean things up. And please, be kind. This is high-school poetry we're talking about. If you don't like it, shut up and move on. ;)

All in all, I'm feeling much more well adjusted, and I think I have some idea of why what happened happened. Last month, my cardiologist diagnosed me with Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP for short, but it's no trophy). MVP is a slight billowing of the mitral valve in the heart; it causes a little bit of back blood flow into the atrium. Interestingly enough, it's typically associated with women, specifically young female models with long fingers and poor circulation. As a strapping (well, maybe not buff) 20-year-old man who is always warm, it seems a tad strange. Weirder yet, MVP is typically associated with dysautonomia, an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system that causes people to be anxious, depressed, and sensitive in character and in physiology (to alchohol, caffeine, and sugar). Voodoo stuff, but it explains a lot of things that I've felt.

I've been playing around with babelfish and have started thinking about things like internationalization, automated translation, HTML compression, and other such oddities. Expect to see some code in a month or so. In the meanwhile, you're likely to be treated to some awfully-translated versions of my page in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian. =) Fun, now I can look like a schmuck in over half of the nations in Europe. I love the web.

At some point, you might see a site redesign, a little shuffling around to help me keep things light and editable. I might do some fun stuff with SSI & Perl to let you browse the site in whatever color & language combinations feel right to you: Portuguese & Pink, Spanish & Salmon, French & Forest Green, etc. I love not working on schoolwork. =)
